DAM software with EU data hosting

DAM vendors that offer EU data hosting, verified from public vendor documentation. Compare hosting regions, certifications and ownership. October 2026.

In short

EU data hosting keeps assets and metadata in European data centres, which simplifies GDPR documentation and meets the requirements of public sector and regulated buyers. The list below shows vendors whose EU hosting DAM Atlas verified in public documentation, followed by vendors offering it on request. Hosting location alone does not settle sovereignty: also review the vendor's ownership, sub-processors and support access from outside the EU.

Frequently asked questions

Is EU data hosting required under GDPR?

No. GDPR allows transfers outside the EU with safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Many buyers still require EU hosting to reduce transfer risk and simplify audits.

Does EU hosting mean a DAM is sovereign?

EU hosting covers where data is stored. Sovereignty also depends on who owns and operates the vendor, which jurisdictions can compel access, and where support staff sit. Review all three during due diligence.
